Sinefa VNF - Programmable networks have arrived and bring with them the need for new ways to create visibility, the need for pervasive traffic insights.
While Sinefa has been immersed in the NFV space since our inception, it’s not until recently where we’ve seen efforts materialise, with platforms and orchestration maturing, to create simpler VNF consumption and enable products and services which customers can use today. The days of the white box, a VNF catalog and a single click deployment are here.
On the back of this maturity, we have launched a Sinefa VNF which will complement any VNF catalog. We’re excited to be working with all the usual suspects on Network Function Virtualisation (NFV) and to have productised Sinefa’s VNF for consumption on these popular and standards based NFV platforms.
A Sinefa probe can be deployed as a virtual network function (VNF) on a variety of network function virtualization (NFV) platforms. Sinefa probes are optimized for both KVM and VMware based platforms and contain inbuilt features to facilitate mass, automated deployments in VNF environments.

Traffic visibility is getting harder to accomplish, and programmable networks add yet another layer of abstraction and complexity. The VNF makes Sinefa's agnostic visibility overlay even more pervasive. In modern networks, visibility at the branch or the DC is not enough. Workloads are on the move and public/private clouds have become a critical ingredient of enterprise IT.
Sinefa’s VNF visibility is augmented by visibility in Azure and AWS, in multi-tenanted aggregation points, CSP cloud gateways, and when needed also in key locations within the carrier’s infrastructure. This enables the pervasive visibility required to power enterprise networks operating at any level of magnitude, geographical distribution or functional complexity.
